What Is SHINE Academy?

 

SHINE Academy is Wealth Beacon Group Foundation’s signature financial empowerment program, created to give individuals and families the tools, confidence, and support they need to take control of their money and move toward long term stability and homeownership.

 

SHINE stands for Smart Habits Inspiring Next Level Excellence, and everything we teach is practical, relevant, and designed for real life. This is not theory or judgment based education. SHINE Academy meets people where they are and helps them move forward with clarity and purpose.

 

Through interactive sessions, participants build strong financial habits, understand how money works in everyday life, and learn how to make informed decisions that align with their personal goals. Whether someone is learning to budget for the first time, rebuilding credit, improving their banking relationship, or preparing for homeownership, SHINE Academy provides a clear and supportive pathway forward.

 

 

A Program for the Community and Our Tenants

 

SHINE Academy serves both Wealth Beacon Group Foundation tenants and the broader community. Our goal is simple: ensure everyone has access to the tools and knowledge needed to achieve financial stability and independence.

 

Sessions are held at the Stetson Branch Library, creating a welcoming, accessible, and community centered space where participants can learn, ask questions, and grow together. By hosting SHINE Academy in a public setting, we reinforce that financial empowerment belongs to everyone.

 

 

Community Partnership with Connex Credit Union

 

SHINE Academy proudly collaborates with Connex Credit Union, a community focused financial institution committed to helping individuals and families build stronger financial futures.

 

Through this collaboration, participants receive hands on guidance, trusted financial tools, and direct access to safe and responsible banking options. Connex supports SHINE Academy participants with practical insights around banking, saving, and financial planning, and offers free bank accounts to the first twenty individuals who complete all five sessions.

 

This partnership ensures participants leave SHINE Academy with more than knowledge. They leave with access, support, and a safe place to bank, save, and grow.
