About the Role
As a SHINE Academy Facilitator with Wealth Beacon Group Foundation, you will play an important role in advancing the organization’s mission by delivering financial empowerment education to tenants and members of the broader community. Facilitators help individuals and families build knowledge, confidence, and practical skills that support financial stability and long term independence.
Key responsibilities may include:
• Facilitating SHINE Academy sessions on topics such as budgeting, banking, credit, investing, insurance, wealth building, and business creation
• Presenting financial concepts in a clear, practical, and relatable manner
• Encouraging open discussion in a supportive, judgment free learning environment
• Following SHINE Academy curriculum guidelines and program values
• Collaborating with SHINE Academy staff, partners, and other facilitators
• Preparing for sessions and arriving on time for scheduled commitments
• Respecting confidentiality and the privacy of individuals and families served
• Refraining from selling, soliciting, or promoting personal services or products during sessions

General Requirements
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Ability to follow instructions and work respectfully with SHINE Academy staff, participants, and other facilitators
• Willingness to respect confidentiality and the privacy of individuals and families served
• Reliable communication and punctuality for scheduled sessions and commitments
• Comfortable facilitating discussions in a supportive, judgment free environment
Facilitation Requirements
• Knowledge or experience in at least one relevant area such as budgeting, banking, credit, investing, insurance, wealth building, business creation, or financial planning
• Relevant licenses, certifications, or credentials when required for the topic being presented
• Ability to explain financial concepts in a clear, practical, and relatable way
• Willingness to follow SHINE Academy curriculum guidelines and program values
• Agreement not to sell, solicit, or promote personal services or products during sessions
Additional Information
• Completion of a brief onboarding and orientation may be required
• Background checks may be required depending on role and setting
Not all SHINE Academy Facilitator roles require the same qualifications or commitment. Responsibilities will be assigned based on current program needs, facilitator experience, and comfort level.
